The beginning
A stone that carried a world
Tiger Eyea began with a love of Yemeni agate—aqeeq—a stone formed deep within the earth and treasured across Yemen for generations. Its bands of colour, natural markings and quiet depth made every stone feel like a fragment of landscape: individual, enduring and impossible to repeat.
The idea grew from the mountains of Yemen, the ancient Kingdom of Saba and the enduring legend of its queen. We did not want this beauty to remain understood only within one culture. We wanted to give Yemeni agate a new form and invite a wider world to wear it.
No two agates are identical. That individuality became the heart of Tiger Eyea: jewellery shaped by the earth, connected to heritage and made to become part of a new story.
From heritage to design
Made for a wider world
For generations, aqeeq has carried meaning, memory and cultural significance. Tiger Eyea reimagines that heritage through contemporary silhouettes, balanced proportions and 925 sterling silver—allowing the stone to be worn in new ways without losing the story of where it comes from.
We design around the stone, never over it. Its natural banding, colour and character guide every setting, so each finished piece remains singular.
Our purpose is to change the way Yemeni agate is seen: not as a stone for one place or one tradition, but as natural jewellery with a story anyone can carry.
From our home in Wales, Tiger Eyea brings together Yemeni material, the memory of Saba and a restrained modern aesthetic—jewels of the earth, made for the world.
